Energy CertificationThe Energy Performance Certificate is issued to owners of both commercial and residential real estate. The Certificate outlines the level of energy consumption in each individual property. The level of consumption is influenced by many factors: The degree of lighting, the duration of sun exposure, the un-shaded surface area, the technical features of the systems placed in buildings, and the nature of the heat isolation apparatus are all factors when the degree of consumption is calculated. In 2008, tax law amendments set a deduction of 55% towards any expenses incurred during the energy re-qualification of any existing real estate. The law stipulates that renewable electric energy equipment must be put into place and an Energy Performance Certificate must be obtained. |
